Rental property owners: Unless you are catering to a very niche visitor, your approach to a short term rental design should focus on what the majority of your guests will find inviting, cozy, and relaxing. Often times this is done with neutral colors, clean lines, and layered textures. And that’s just the beginning!

From Inspo to Install!
Over on Instagram, we posted this gorgeous @casamance_official wallpaper, including their inspo shots and the final product after installed in our client’s home. We love the drama that it brings to their staircase, pictured above, and were so happy the homeowners love it as much as we do!
Fall Travels
I posted this image on Instagram from my recent trip to Europe with my husband, John. We started in Paris and traveled up and down Italy afterwards. It was a great trip! Here we are in Florence. So grateful to be able to have experiences like this. :)
Eco-friendly Options
Loloi Rugs has some incredible rugs in their lineup right now. This is just a few of the new samples we carry at our office. Using space-dyed yarns, many of their new collections are GoodWeave certified, ensuring their commitment to ethical production, and the support of weavers communities. We love a sustainable product here at Pace Design, and know you will too!
Custom Built-ins
The many stages of custom built-ins: framing, countertops, tile detail, and hardware! Another custom element for the living room at the Fullerton project. The tile matches that of the fireplace across the room. Getting closer to the finish line!
✨Wallpaper Wednesday ✨
Another stunning wallpaper install! Our past clients came back to us for a new look in their powder room. We helped them choose a wallcovering that complimented all the other finishes. We love everything about this room- the whimsical wallpaper, wooden accent wall, marble backsplash- you name it! Also this room is a fun example of how wallpaper doesn’t have to just be limited to the accent wall… it can be on every wall in any size room, with an accent wall of another kind!
Kudos!
Recently our wonderful junior designer presented a vibrant and functional aesthetic for our clients café/meeting space. She knocked it out of the park and I wanted to acknowledge how happy I was to see her work diligently to satisfy all the needs of our client. She was innovative and kept the client on budget while still having a beautiful aesthetic. Can’t wait for you to see the after photos! Great job Alicia!!
Sample Display
When lovely @scalamandre wallpaper samples come in- make a table top decoration out of them! Just in time as our table needed a new look too.
Fullerton Project Kitchen Update
Kitchen is coming in nicely! The homeowner wanted a clean but fun backsplash that allowed the wood tones of the island and hood to really pop. The range has since been put in to… it’s a fantastic forest green that makes a beautiful statement in the center. Like a crown jewel!
New Project Alert...
The start of a new project always brings you back to basics… sketching a floor plan from our measurements taken during an initial site visit. Excited to help our client reimagine her businesses communal cafe and meeting space. More details to follow!
Chosen Wallpaper
One of favorite kind of posts to make on IG is a video that shows the wallpaper our clients chose to sample in their homes. Every week is different and every client’s taste is different from the last. However this week past week we were surprised to see a commonality between most samples- there was a lack of pattern or contrasting colors. Excited to see which samples they choose for install!
Inspo vs. Install
It’s exciting to see the finished product of this great room. We started in this room when creating the concept for the entire home. Once the sofa and rug were chosen, everything else seemed to fall into place.
Final Install Days
We are nearing the end of this project in Yorba Linda. It’s been a fun (as you can see from the last clip) and unique experience as the homeowners were very hands off, allowing us to make all selections - their only request being a minimal design of “comfortable neutrals that can be installed within the month“. This quick deadline meant only sourcing items that were available now and all hands on deck!
We thoughtfully chose a soft palette throughout the five bedroom home with easy to love bedding, furniture, and accessories. Shout out to the companies below for their fantastic service along the way!
Install Day One…
Day one and some major deliveries made!
Our vision is coming to fruition over here in Yorba Linda. Great room rugs and sofa are in, as well as the dining room rug, table, bench, and buffet. Tomorrow we have some major artwork placement decisions to make before the installer will be joining us on site. Thanks for following along!
✨Tile Tuesday ✨
We are in the beginning stages of tile placement over here! We chose a variety of shapes and colors to use throughout the three bathrooms, all unified in their soft tones and warm embrace. Stay tuned for the final product!
